According to Dinamina news report, state Minister for Defense Mr. Pramitha Bandara Thennakoon said that there is no room for terrorism in Sri Lanka and any kind of activities that support terrorist activities will be dealt with strictly.
The minister expressed these views during his visit to Turkey prior to International Defense Exhibition, when he met Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler.
The Turkish Defense Minister highly appreciated the contribution of the Sri Lankan government, especially the intelligence and security forces, to suppress the Fethullah terrorist organization led by the Fethullah Gulen groups in the island.
In this meeting, fruitful discussions were held between State Minister Thennakoon and Minister Güler. in multiple platforms to further enhance bilateral cooperation and improve existing relations between the two countries.
