Man seriously injured in dispute over pigeons

The Panadura South Police has started an investigation to find three including a father and son, who were fleeing after attacking a person with a sword and seriously injuring his hands due to a dispute over pigeons. Police said that a 53-year-old resident of Panadura, Wekada, Ganewatta area was attacked. Police said that the son of the person who was attacked has given statements that three men have attacked his father with a sword when he was travelling on a motorcycle in the Panadura Pahangama area yesterday. A hospital spokesperson said that the person who was attacked was admitted to Panadura Basic Hospital and was transferred to Colombo National Hospital since his condition was serious.
