The Trinity under 16 basketball team led by a talented basketballer Tinuka Jamburegoda who played a tremendous role with the rest of the players were able to beat dribblers from Dubai UAE called Priblen basketball academy.
The captain of the Trinity College owes a big thank you to head coach Susil Udukumbura for guiding the side to do well in the correct way with the support of assistant coaches, Shanith Godagama and Hamza Harish for their continuous support and dedication to the sport.
The team was made out of basketballers like Tinuka Jamburegoda (Captain),Savitha Gunawardana, Theesara Galgodawatta, Adriel Jayasuriya, Sandaru Kularathane, Sanuth Wijerathne, Lakith Sirimanne, Thevindu Gamage, Ravindu Herath, Sanchitha Wickrama, Raviru Hitibandara and Nimesh Deen. Basketball involves a lot of starting and stopping.
Kandy CC Champions
Kandy District Cricket Association super tournament was in good form, and Kandy CC ended as the champions with a good performance, they headed the table with 7points in four games, in which they are the only unbeaten team in four games won three, and one no decision.
The second place is taken by Old Rajans CC they in four games have won three and lost one, Kandy Youth CC are third in three games won one and lost two, the fourth place is taken by Old Zahirans CC out of three games won one and lost two and the fifth place goes to Old Trintiains SC who in four games have lost three and one no decision.
