President Wickremesinghehas met with Indian billionaire and Group chairman of Adani group today (21 July) and the two spoke about various infrastructure projects being carried out in the island nation.
The discussions covered the ongoing expansion of the Colombo Port West Container Terminal, 500 MW wind project and production of green hydrogen, Adani.
Mr. Adani has Tweeted saying,
“Great Honour to have met H.E. President RanilWickremesinghe to discuss a fascinating set of projects in Sri Lanka including continued development of Colombo Port West Container Terminal, 500 MW wind project, and extending our renewal energy expertise to produce green Hydrogen.”
The meet up happenedwhile president RanilWickremesingheis on a two-day l state visit to India.
The Adani Group, in August last year, was issued approval to start wind power projects in Pooneryn, North Eastern part of the country.
Adani Green Energy was issued provisional approval for two wind projects 286 MW in Mannar and 234 MW in Pooneryn for an investment of over $500 million.
