CR&FC scraped through Malay CC 1-nil in a CHA League hockey tournament played at Dharmapala Vidyalaya ground in Pannipitiya on Sunday.
CR drew first blood through an infringement in the D area.
Then onwards it was a battle between both teams to gain supremacy, with Malays missing many opportunities.
At the final moments, Malays were attacking more intensely but due to poor decisions by their players, missed many opportunities.
CR emerged victorious after battling it out with a young Malays outfit. (TBR)
