Sri Lanka ‘A’ team led by Dunith Wellalage will meet Oman ‘A’ in their ACC men’s Emerging Asia cricket match today (18) at R. Premadasa International cricket stadium (under lights commencing at 2pm).

Sri Lanka A started in winning note defeating Bangladesh ‘A’ at SSC grounds but unfortunately lost to Afghanistan ‘A’ in their second game after tough battle at CCC grounds on last Saturday.

“We made good fight against Afghanistan after struggling our top order and it was good eye opener for Sri Lanka ‘A’ team,” said wicket keeper Minod Bhanuka who made a fighting knock of 122 to earn Man of the Match award.

“I have batted well during this series, half century against Bangladesh ‘A’ followed by century under pressure against Afghanistan ‘A’. Specially as a wicket keeper I am in good form at the moment but I knew there is a big battle to come back for National side.

Meanwhile Sri Lanka ‘A’ team hope to fight back against Oman ‘A’ . Oman ‘A’ coach former Sri Lanka skipper and Manager Duleep Mendis said we wanted to fight with Sri Lanka ‘A’ and hope to execute new plan today at this day night game.
