Officers of the Mirihana Police arrested three employees who were working at a business store in Nugegoda on July 13 for stealing 15 light drones that were for sale as sports goods.
Police said three persons aged 26, 31 and 33, residing in Mawathagama, Nugegoda and Pannipitiya have been arrested. Police also said that these drones, worth about Rs.367,500 were stolen from time to time between June 20 and July 13.
Investigations have revealed that they have sold the stolen drones to various people.The owner of the business has complained to the Mirihana police about this theft on July 13.Police arrested the three suspects within a few hours of receiving the complaint.
