England kept their Ashes hopes alive when they defeated Australia by three wickets on the fourth day of the decisive third Test, which concluded at Headingley in Leeds yesterday. England successfully chased down their target of 251 runs shortly before tea on the penultimate day with Harry Brook stroking a solid 75 from 93 deliveries.
The 24-year-old right-hander, who was dropped to number five in the batting order, rose to the occasion and struck nine boundaries while adding 59 runs for the seventh wicket with Chris Woakes.
