Commander of the Navy’s father passes away

Mr U. Sirisoma (88), loving husband of late Mrs Kalyani Sirisoma and beloved father of Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne, Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, passed away on 30th November 2022.

Born in 1934 in Kandy, he joined the Department of Sri Lanka Police on 13th February 1955.

Late Mr U. Sirisoma had served in a number of areas in the island over 36 years and finally retired from the service on 01st April 1991, as a Sub Inspector of Police.

His remains are now lying at a private Funeral Parlour in Borella and the funeral takes place at Borella Cemetery on Saturday 03rd December 2022 at 4.00 p.m.
