Suspect arrested for hiding fuel, gas cylinders

Bandarawela Police arrested a suspect for hiding 960 letres of diesel and 14 LPG cylinders on Monday. The consignment of fuel and the cylinders were hidden at a shop adjoining to a filling station in Bandarawela.

A fuel bowser has reached the fuel filling station on Monday and the people in the queue protested claiming that the lubricant oil shop adjoining to the fuel filling station had stored fuel illegally. Thereafter, police inspected the shop and found fuel and gas cylinders in the store. The suspect was to be produced before Court yesterday.
