1,057 persons arrested in last 24 hours for violating quarantine rules

The Police have arrested 1,057 persons for violating the quarantine rules during the last 24 hours ending at 6.00 am yesterday.

Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana saud that 27,977 persons have been arrested for violating the quarantine rules including not wearing face masks.

Police mobile patrols have also been deployed to arrest people violating quarantine rules, the Police Spokesman added.
