Fingerlings being released.
Over 15,000 fingerlings were released to the Kotmale Reservoir by Nuwara Elliya Acqua Culture Development Project officials recently.
Over 1.5 million fingerlings will be released to the reservoir to promote the inland fishing industry and uplift the economy of those in the industry.
According to a project officer, over 5.4 million fingerlings will be released to the reservoirs in the district by end of 2024.
