Two boys were ordained at the Ganewatte Purana Viharaya under the tutelage of Ven. Voharadhikari Kithalagama Nandasara Thera with the blessings of Chief Incumbent of the temple Kalutara Provincial Chief Addhikarara Sangha Nayake Most Ven. Sumana Nayaka Thera on the on the Duruthu Poya day (28 ) amidst devotees of Embilipitiya.
Beragamage Kavinda Sandaruwan (11), a Grade VI student at Karawilayaya Maha Vidyalaya and olakarage Sasindu Udaya Kumara (8 ), Grade III student at the same school, were ordained in the names of Ven. Kuttigala Sumukha Thera and Ven. Kuttigala Sujana Rathana Thera.
Eighty five monks have been ordained by the Viharadikari Kithalagama Nandasara Thera now. The Thera told that he will start a Pirivena Educational Institute after ordaining 100 boys.
“All the names of my pupil begin with ‘Su’, because I always pay my best respects to my teacher, the Chief Incumbent Ven. Delduwe Sumana Thera, whose name starts with ‘Su’, the Thera said.
