Education Minister Professor G.L.Peiris has tested negative for COVID-19, stated the Ministry of Education.
He was identified as a close associate of Piyal Nishantha, and was self quarantined.
Later, the minister was subjected to a PCR test along with his family and his staffs and it has been confirmed that the Minister, his family and the staffs have not contracted the virus, stated the Ministry of Education.
