All Wildlife Parks are now opened for visitors since last Friday, Minister of Wild Life and Forest Conservation C.B. Ratnayake told the Daily News yesterday.

He said that all visitors are eligible to enter the parks subject to the current stringent health regulations such as wearing the face masks and following the duty sanitization processes.

These Parks will also be open to foreign tourists as well once the Bandaranaike International Airport was opened. There will be a special counter which will be opened by the Department of Wild Life and visitors at the BIA where both foreigners and locals would be entitled to buy tickets to enter any five parks of his or her choice at discounted rates, he said.

The Ministry will also commence soon a program to upgrade the Circuit Bungalows of the Department of Wild Life and Forests.

The Ministry will be seeking the assistance of donors, and other wildlife enthusiasts and other well-wishers for the replanting and reforestation programs of these forests.

A different program will also be commenced to increase the welfare facilities for the employees of the Departments of Wild Life and Forestry as well.
