Isolation lifted in Borella, Wellampitiya, Colombo Fort and Slave Island areas

No lift for Wekanda, Wanathamulla :

The isolation status in selected areas in the Colombo and Gampaha districts has been lifted from today (23), acting Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said as per the directives of the National Operation Centre for the Prevention of COVID -19, the isolation status imposed in Borella, Wellampitiya, Colombo Fort, and Slave Island in the Colombo District has been lifted from 5 am today (23).

But, the Wekanda Grama Niladari Division in the Slave Island Police Area and Wanathamulla Grama Niladari Division in the Borella Police Area will continue to remain in isolation. DIG Ajith Rohana also noted that the isolation status in Ja-Ela and Kadawatha in the Gampaha District will be lifted tomorrow.

In addition, the isolation status imposed on Ja-Ela and Kadawatha police areas in the Gampaha District has also been lifted from today.

However, five more police areas in the Gampaha District will continue to remain under isolation until further notice. Meanwhile, the isolation status on 13 more police areas in the Colombo District will be in effect until further notice.

These areas under further isolation includes Mattakkuliya, Modara, Grandpass, Bloemendhal, Kotahena, Fore Shore, Adirippu Street, Dam Street, Pettah, Keselwatta, Maligawatta, Dematagoda, and Maradana police areas. Further, Negombo, Wattala, Peliyagoda, Ragama, and Kelaniya police areas Gampaha District and Seven Grama Seva Divisions in Atalugama in the Kalutara District would also continue to be under isolation.
