Two were injured following a shooting incident in Elpitiya this morning.
Police said they have received information that the shooting had been the result of a personal dispute.
During a dispute between four persons who were consuming alchohol, one was shot injured.
The injured person has assaulted the shooter with a sharp weapon, said the police.
Both the injured were admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
Investigations are being conducted.
