Five accused of Wariyapola murder case were sentenced to five years RI with a fine of Rs.10,000 each (amounting to Rs. 50,000) by Kurunegala High Court Judge Mapa Bandara after being found guilty of unlawful assembly causing harm and death to one Herath Banda of Wariyapola Kanathe Wewa on January 10, 2012.
The lawyer of the respondent told the court that they would submit an appeal application against the order.
