Five people including two School children were injured due to an explosion at the crematorium in Kotikawatta cemetery today.
The Police believe that a gas leakage at the crematorium may have caused the explosion which occurred around 5pm.
The explosion had occurred when workers at the cemetery were preparing for a cremation. The five persons (all males) admitted to hospital have burn injuries, sources said.
The wellampitiya police is conducting investigations.
