The Sainthamaruthu Vocational Training Centre (VTC) functioning under the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka and the Skill Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation Ministry held its awards ceremony for those who obtained their National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), at the Bawa Royal Reception Hall in Sainthamaruthu recently.
The ceremony was presided over by Sainthamaruthu Vocational Training Centre (VTC) Officer in Charge (OIC) M.M. Udumalebbe, while former Law and Order Ministry Addl. Secretary A.L.M. Saleem was the chief guest and gave away the certificate to the participants. Fifty six students received their NVQ certificates at the event, on completion of their ICT Technician, Plumber and Electrician courses of training. The District Vocational Training Centre Deputy Director M.B. Naleem, Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka Training Officer M.M. Wazeem, Programme Officer M.M. Mouzoon, Tax and Evaluation Officer M.I.M. Maqbool, former ICT Instructor S.M. Siyath, Sainthamaruthu Divisional Secretariat Skill Development Officer A. Issadeen, Instructor (Graphic Design) M.H.M. Hazeer and Instructor (Plumbing) S. Abul Hassan were all present at the event.
