UPDATE: Former Minister Rishard Bathiudeen yesterday arrived at the CID branch at Irrattaperiyakulam police station to provide a statement on investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.
A five hour statement was recorded from him over the alleged provision of copper to a factory owned by a bomber involved in the Easter Sunday attacks. The former Minister appeared at the police station after the Colombo Fort Magistrate issued an order to the police to continue investigations without causing any obstruction to his election activities.
