President pays homage to Sacred Tooth Relic

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa visited the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, yesterday. He was received by Temple Chief Custodian Pradeep Nilanga Dela.

The President also called on Malwatte Chapter Chief Prelate Most Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Thera. Ven. Niyangoda Vijithasiri Anunayake Thera and Ven. Dimbulkumbure Vimaladhamma Nayake Thera were also present. President Rajapaksa also received blessings from Asgiriya Chapter Chief Prelate Most Ven. Warakagoda Gnanarathana Thera, in the presence of Ven. Anamaduwe Dhammadassi Anunayake Thera and Asgiriya Chapter Registrar Ven. Medagama Dhammananda Thera. The Maha Sangha also chanted 'pirith' to invoke blessings on the President.
