Haul of explosives found from Kotmale Oya bank

Nawalapitiya Police said that a large quantity of explosives was found hidden inside a bin on the bank of the Kotmale Oya in Dambagalla of the Nawalapitiya Police Division.

A group of youth who had gone to bathe in the Kothmale Oya had found the explosives.

Nawalapitiya Police OIC Chief Inspector KHP Kalugampitiya said that 99 detonators, about one kg of C-4 explosives and eight bombs were found.

Nawalapitiya Police are investigating.
