SriLankan facilitates two repatriation flights

A group of Lankan nationals stranded due to the Covid 19 virus arrived from London yesterday (29) afternoon on a SriLankan Airlines special charter flight.

According to sources, flight UL504 landed yesterday at 12.25 pm at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with 221 passengers.

Meanwhile, a group of 274 Sri Lankans including students who were stranded in Belarus returned to the country yesterday.

They arrived from Minsk, Belarus onboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL 1206.

All returnees and their luggage were disinfected at the airport and then were taken to quarantine centres by the Sri Lanka Army. Another repatriation flight from London also arrived yesterday.

So far, more than 30 UL flights had carried out special operations to various destinations to bring back stranded Lankan and foreign passengers.
