One of Sri Lanka’s leading diversified conglomerates, LOLC was voted best by the people for the 4th year in a row. The conglomerate with an outstanding track-record was bestowed with the prestigious,“Financial Service Provider of the Year” award at the SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards 2020. The glamourous awards ceremony took place recently at the Water’s Edge, Battaramulla.
Organised for the 14th consecutiveyear by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), the SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards is a joint initiative of the national body for marketing, and Nielsen Sri Lanka, the local arm of the largest information and research company in the world. Recognised as one of themost looked forward to events in the corporate calendar, SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards recognises brands and personalities that have made a powerful impression in the minds of the people. Winners are based on consumer responses or people’s choice rather than on a decision of a panel of judges. This year, awards were bestowed under 26 categories, covering all 25 districts. Five new categories were included this year.
