Shelinda Jansen adjudged the best performer and won the RIT Alles challenge trophy while Lyceum Wattala topped the medals tally at the International Schools Athletic Championship concluded at Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.
Shelinda also won the best female athlete’s award for her performance in the 100m clocking 11.94 seconds which is a new meet record.
Schools from Wattala won 92 medals with 39 gold, 30 silver and 23 bronze. Host school Gateway Colombo secured third place with 72 medals - 24 gold, 29 silver and 19 bronze medals.
