Internal and the external degree holders have the same opportunity in applying for public sector job vacancies, Information and Communication Technology State Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena said.
He said the government would not consider the nature of the degree or their political background before being recruited to jobs under the graduate schemes.
"Unlike the previous regime, the present government will provide jobs for all the degree holders in accordance with their graduated year," the State Minister said.He also replied to the allegations made by the opposition that the government is taking revenge from employees recruited during the previous government was baseless as none have been expelled.
“We always try to secure their jobs. It is because they are all our youth”, he said.
