CP bags it all at grade 4 Nestle Kids Athletics

The second segments of the Milo Kids athletic championship concluded yesterday at Nawalapitiya.

Grade four competitions were held at the second segments. All the four grade titles were won by Central Provinces schools.

In the grade four age categor, Delta Gemunupura MV won the boys and Montigopalla MV won the girls championship. In the mixed school category, Cleverton Tamil MV becomes the tile winners.

In the boy’s event, Montigopalla MV and Dharmaraja College won the second and third places while Ambagamuwa MV and Girls High School won the second and third places in the girl’s segment. Ananda Dassanayake MV and Dumbara MV secured second and third places in the mixed school category.

State minister of Power Mahindananda Aluthgamage was the chief guest at the prize giving.

The All-Island Schools Kids Athletics Championship is part of Nestle’s Kids Athletics Programme. It is the physical activity component of the Nestlé Healthy Kids Programme.

Children should engage in physical activity programmes based on the ‘Four F’ concept (Fun, Fitness, Fundamental, and Friendship), conducted in suitable environments, that provide a balanced physical and academic education.
