SLIATE increases annual student intake

More students will be recruited to the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) this year. The SLIATE has 19 regional centres. Anually, they admitted 10,000 students.

From this year, about 30,000 students will be enrolled, Technology and Innovations State Minister Thilanga Sumathipala said.

He was addressing the SLIATE officials in Kurunegala on Saturday (4).

The students will be offered degrees for several selected courses, he said.

The SLIATE regional centres will be equipped with necessary facilities at a cost of Rs 1,200 million this year, he added.
