Special train service to function for the festive season

Railway Department has scheduled a special night train from Colombo Fort to Badulla and vice-versa for the school vacation and the festive season.

This train will run on December 24, 27 and 29 and stop at Ragama, Gampaha, Veyangoda, Mirigama, Polgahawela, Rambukkana, Kadugannawa, Peradeniya Junction, Gampola, Nawalapitiya and Galaboda. It will run slow between Galaboda and Badulla.

Accordingly, the train will leave Colombo Fort at 7.35pm on 24, 27 and 29, it is scheduled to arrive at Badulla at 4:43 pm, the train will leave at 8.30 p.m. and arrive at Colombo Fort at 5.27am.

The special train is comprised with first, second and economic class compartments and seat reservation facility, the department said.
