EXCON 2019 begins on Dec. 10 in Bengaluru

South Asia’s largest event for the Construction Equipment Sector, EXCON 2019, organized by The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), India’s apex Industry Association will be held from December 10-14, 2019 at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru.

Several Sri Lanka companies, Chamber members and also engineering students are expected to participate at this event to gain insight of modern constriction trends in the world. The event will aos see several product launches.

CCI also held a Road Show in Colombo facilitated by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce to woo more participants from Sri Lanka.

Head of Economic and Commercial Affairs, High Commission of India in Colombo, Suja K Menon, said that those engaged in the construction industry in Sri Lanka will immensely benefit from this 3 day event as it offers a wide range of knowledge sharing opportunities and will introduce latest technology and innovative solutions at the event.

General Manger CII, Immanuel Kumar said that the entrance for the event is totally free and registration could be done online, Bangalore airport or even at the venue. He said that special transport arrangements too would be made and the Light Rail link is also available close to the venue. “The 10th Edition of EXCON would feature more than 1250 companies including 350 from abroad.”

The previous edition of this biennial initiative organised in 2017 featured 918 exhibitors including 226 exhibitors from abroad and was spread over an area of 26,00,000 square feet.

He said that several new product launches too would be held and series of free seminars too would be held.

Infrastructure sector is a key driver for the Indian economy. The sector is highly responsible for propelling India’s overall development and enjoys intense focus from Government for initiating policies that would ensure time-bound creation of world class infrastructure in the country. Infrastructure sector includes power, bridges, dams, roads and urban infrastructure development.

R. Sivakumar of CII, outlining the key highlights of the exhibition said that there are 350 stalls from abroad in 10 Country Pavilions showcasing their products and services at this event.

The exhibition would attract over 70,000 business visitors from India and abroad.
