Retired Major stages hunger strike over Swiss Embassy incident

‘War Heroes for Motherland’ Convenor, Major (Retired) and Attorney-at-Law Ajith Prasanna, launched a hunger strike yesterday, calling for the Swiss Embassy staffer to make a statement to the police regarding the alleged abduction incident. He began the hunger strike in front of the embassy at 10:30 a.m.

He told the Daily News: “The embassy and staff member had connived to stage such an incident to cover up CID officer Nishantha Silva leaving the country.

“Nishantha Silva’s incident created a huge hype, so this is another incident to do the same. I will not leave until the staff member produces the necessary evidence to the police,” Prasanna said.
