Akkaraipattu Base Hospital wins National Gold Award

The Akkaraipattu Base Hospital won the Gold award and a National Green Reporting System of Sri Lanka Certificate of Excellence at the Presidential Environment Awards, conducted by Mahaweli Development and Environment Ministry and Central Environmental Authority under the ‘Sri Lanka Next’ program. The Presidential Environment Awards Ceremony was held at the Colombo Nelum Pokuna Theater recently under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

The Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. I.M. Javahir received the Gold award and the Quality Management Unit In-Charge Dr. M.J. Nowfel received a National Green Reporting System of Sri Lanka Certificate of Excellence at the event.

Akkaraipattu Base Hospital General Surgeon Dr. P.K. Ravindren, Waste Management In-Charge Dr. M.M. Remence, Administrative Officer M.I.M. Nizam Nursing Officers and other officials were present at the occasion.
