Popular singer Maya Damayanthi Perera held a concert at Elphinstone Theatre on October 12 at 6.30 pm celebrating 45 years in the field of music. Many veteran artistes joined her in concert. The concert was organised on the invitation of the Cultural Ministry.
The gig named ‘Maya Damayanthi Live in Concert’ also saw the launch of the book ‘Maya’ by Sarasavi Publishers. The book contains all her songs with notations and Maya Damayanthi believes that it will be valuable for youngsters in pursuing a career in music.
