A forlorn mother of Doranuwa, Ruwanwella seeks helps from kind-hearted people for her to look after her 11-year-old disabled child and daughter, studying amidst great mental and monetary difficulties.

The child, Laksan Sadamal Bulathgama, has been disabled due to an illness. His mother, G. Padma Chandrani, has two children including the ailing one. Her husband has left her a few years ago. Her elder, a girl, is sitting for the A/L exam this year, but Chandrani said she cannot provide her with what she needs for her study.

Living in a rented house, Chandrani does menial work for a mere income. Other than the Samurdhi allowance, she does not have any other steady income, she said.

She said the illness paralysed her child’s legs and doctors at the Lady Ridgeway Children’s Hospital, Borella has told her to consult the them at the hospital monthly but she cannot afford it.

“I cannot provide stationeries and other books for my daughter for her studies, and I cannot engage in fulltime work either, because of my ailing younger child,” she said.

She requests philanthropists and the public to provide her with any support so as to make it possible for her to continue treatment for her ailing younger child and suport the elder daughter who is pursuing an education.

You can help them via calling on 0705064425 or depositing any amount of money into her bank account 100358839131, Ruwanwella National Saving Bank Branch.
