Youth dies in motorcycle-lorry collision

A 17-years-old youth died when the motorcycle he was travelling on collided with a lorry at the Ihala Bope Junction on the Ingiriya-Meepe main road on Monday (09).

The injured youth was admitted to the Padukka Hospital and later transferred to the Homagama Hospital where he died, police said.

The deceased, T. Nilaksha Dilshan (17), was a resident of Angampitiya, Padukka.

The lorry driver was arrested. Padukka police are investigating.
