Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC), High commission of India, Colombo, will be organizing a Bharatha Natyam Recital by Abiramy Patkunam, at 6 pm on September 6, at SVCC auditorium located at 16/2, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 07.
Abiramy Patkunam is an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer. She has trained under legends, such as Guru Prof. C. V. Chandrashaker, Guru V.P. Dhananjeyan (Bharathakalanjali), Guru Shijith Krishna Chennai, and Guru Kiran Subramanyam. She completed her Masters of Arts (Bharathanatyam) from University of Madras and is an ICCR scholarship-holder of Bachelors of Arts (Choreography) at Bangalore University.
She has worked as a Bharathanatyam teacher at Hindu College, Bambalapitiya and Gateway International School, Colombo. She worked as a choreographer for many of the productions of Aru Sri Art Theater, including Ramayanam, Sakunthalam, Anupavam, and Uthuruvasantham. All are cordially invited to the concert.
