Five Central schools enter second round

Anuradhapura Central College, Taxila Central College, Horana, Nalanda Central College, Minuwangoda, Sandalanka Central College and Henegama Central College advanced to second round of the Dr. C.W.W. Kannangara Memorial Trophy Central Colleges Cricket Tournament.

Anuradhapura Central College beat Wadduwa Central College by 52 runs and Taxila Central College Horana beat Gankanda Central College by seven wickets in the first round matches.

Nalanda Central College, Minuwangoda beat Hewaheta Central College, Kandy by 160 runs.

Sandalanka Central College beat Bandaranayake Central College Veyangoda by two wickets and Henegama Central College beat Karavita Central College by nine wickets.

Twnety-eight Central College teams participated to this tournament. This tournament is conducted by the All Island Central Colleges Past Pupils Assocaiation.

Tissa Central College Kalutara was champion and Galahitiyawa Central College runners-up last year.
