Several executive officers summoned before Presidential Commission

The finance officer of the UDA has been summoned to the Presidential Commission to investigate corruption in state institutions.

That was to obtain evidence on the allegation that the Neville Fernando Hospital not been taken over by the government legally. This investigation is being carried out based on a complaint made by the Secretary of the Government Medical Officers Association Dr. Haritha Aluthge alleging that the Neville Fernando Hospital had not been acquired legitimately by the government.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Sri Lanka Insurance Regulatory Commission has been summoned to the Commission today in connection with a complaint regarding a financial fraud in awarding the Suraksha insurance for school children.

Former Secretary of the Education Ministry Sunil Hettiarachchi has been summoned to the commission’s police unit today regarding another complaint filed by former Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa.
