Mavai re-elected ITAK leader

MP Mavai Senathirajah has been unanimously re-elected as the Leader of the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) once again.

The ITAK’s 16th Anniversary ceremony was held in Nallur in Jaffna on Saturday.

MP Senathirajah has held the ITAK leadership since 2014. The ITAK is the main constituent party of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA). TNA Leader R. Sampanthan is a patron of ITAK. He too participated in the event.

Former Agriculture Minister of the Eastern Provincial Council K Thurairajasingham was elected as the Secretary.
