Zion Church to get Rs. 29 mn for renovation

Rs. 29 million has been allocated for the reconstruction of Batticaloa Zion Church under the guidance of President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, said Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Minister Sajith Premadasa.

He was speaking after visiting the church and participating in a short service for the victims, conducted by resident pastor Rev. Roshan Mahesan, on Saturday. State Minister Ali Zahir Mowlana, Batticaloa Government Agent M. Uthayakumar and Manmunai North Divisional Secretary M. Thayaparan were also present.
