Projects should end by August 31: State Minister

Internal and Home Affairs and Provincial Councils and Local Government State Minister J.C. Alawathuwala said that all projects coming under the Gamperaliya programme in the Kurunegala District, should be finalised by August 31 as no payments would not be provided for any projects that were to be delayed.

He was speaking at a progress review meeting of the District Development Committee held last Thursday at the Kurunegala District Secretariat.

The state minister said that around 5,066 projects have been launched under the Gamperaliya programme in the Kurunegala District.

He added that every divisional secretariat in the district has been provided with Rs.20 million for the purpose.
