Sri Lanka Insurance is calling for applications for ‘Suba Pathum National Scholarship Scheme 2019’ which rewards 300 achievers who excel in Grade 5 Scholarship, G.C.E. Ordinary Level and G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations in year 2018.
The annual initiative launched for the 5th consecutive time to inspire the younger generation to realize their future dreams. Since 2014 SLIC has rewarded over 1200 scholarships which are worth over Rs. 50 million for the children.
The scholarship scheme is now open for applicants who exceled in the 2018 national examinations in Sri Lanka. Application can be collected from the nearest SLIC branch or they can apply via SLIC official website www.srilankainsurance.com.
Duly filled applications need to be sent to the SLIC Suba Pathum National Scholarship Scheme at Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02 before May 31.
From the received applications top 100 rankers from each examination will be qualified for scholarships which in total will be 300 scholarships for Grade 5 Scholarship, G.C.E. Ordinary Level and G.C.E. Advanced Level examinations. For Grade 5 Scholarship and G.C.E. Ordinary Level qualifiers will be selected based on the district achievement and for G.C.E. Advanced Levelapplicants will be selected based on the national level achievement.
This scheme is open for all the children of Sri Lanka irrespective of whether or not he/she is a child of a SLIC Life policyholder. Further if scholarship holder’s parent is a SLIC Life policyholder, scholarship benefit will be extended for future years.
