Hiru Fashion, a leader of the local shirt industry was rewarded at the coveted Annual Productivity Awards Ceremony held at the BMICH in Colombo recently. Hiru Fashion was awarded third place in the Manufacturing Sector Medium Scale. Hiru Fashion commenced business 20 years ago, with just one employee at the residence of Rajika Priyangani, Chairperson of Hiru Fashion Garments and presently, they have a well trained staff of 116. Rajika Priyangani said that she would be happy to receive this award as they had to face many barriers during the early part of their journey.
She thanked her entire staff for providing her their support to receive this award and vowed to do her utmost best in future as well. Hiru Fashion has won many regional and national level awards in the recent past.
