The One Transworks Square invests US$ 450 mn for three towers

The One Transworks Square launched Phase Two of its high end luxury development project with the launch of its second tower, JW Marriott Hotel & Residences. The piling of the construction has already begun and the tower is expected to be completed in two and half years.

Comprising 256 highly modern hotel rooms, 206 residences and over 200,000 sq.ft of banquet space at a height of 303 meters, the JW Marriott tower will accommodate all residence apartments in the upper floors from levels 26 to 70 and will be one of the tallest towers in South Asia.

Project Manager of The One - Sri Lanka Project Prof. Chitra Weddikkara said that the first tower which is 84 stories tall will be ready by 2021 and will launch their third and final tower which has 94 floors would next year. The tower C with 94 floors would be the tallest building in South Asia

Director CEO of The One Transworks Square Janaki Siriwardhana said that the total investment for the entire project would be US$ 450 million and 25% of this investment has been completed.”

“The timing of the launch is in line with the schedule set for the project completion and the developer of The One – Sri Lanka project is very optimistic about Sri Lanka’s luxury real estate market over the medium term,” said Chief Marketing Officer of The One Transworks Square Jaideep Wahi.

“The designers, contractors and partners involved with the Tower are also adhering to the strict quality standards set by JW Marriott and are assessed and evaluated continuously through the execution of the project,” he said.

Chief Marketing Officer of The One Transworks Square Jaideep Wahi said that around 30% of apartment of the tower one has been marketed mainly to Sri Lanka expatriates and foreigners. The price is competitive for a Luxury apartment but it’s within the reach of a buyer who is looking for this kind of segment for living.”

Two leading global luxury hotel brands chains based in USA, The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott will be opening in Colombo at the One Transworks Square (Pvt) Ltd mixed development project, In Colombo Fort.

“Introducing The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott brands to Sri Lanka is sure to spark phenomenal interest locally and internationally,” Wahi said.

The Ritz-Carlton, Colombo will feature 200 guestrooms and 187 branded residences, signature Ritz-Carlton Spa and other facilities.

JW Marriott Colombo will boast 250 contemporary hotel rooms and 218 residences on high floors that will offer stunning views of the destination.

The Global architecture and engineering consulting lead firm, China Construction Design International (CCDI), a subsidiary of CSCE Corporation headquartered in Shanghai is the principal design consultant. Cheng Chung Design (CCD), have partnered as the Interior Design Consultant for both Towers One and Two.

Lead contractors for the project are Shougang Construction Group (SGCG), while Sanken Construction (Pvt) Ltd will collaborate for the construction of Tower Two to ensure the strengthening of local partnerships. CITIC Group, China’s largest state-owned conglomerate has partnered to construct the Curtain Wall and the Interior Details of the Tower Two. Multi-award winning Zhejiang Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. (ZCIG) China has partnered for MEP.
