The 4th edition of the highly anticipated annual limited over big match Battle of Lyceumers between Lyceum International School, Nugegoda and Lyceum International School, Panadura for Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy which will be, hosted by Lyceum International School Nugegoda this year, will be held on February 22 at P. Sara, Oval Colombo.
The Director of Lyceum International School Nikitha Grero started the big match tradition in 2016 to ensure that Lyceumers have the unforgettable experience of a big match. Lyceum Nugegoda team will be led by versatile Senura Hansaja under the guidance of Head Coach Viraj Weerasekara and TIC Pathum Madhushanka. Devin Rodrigo will lead the Panadura team with guidance from Head Coach Nadeep Jayasinghe and TIC Rumesh Wickramasinghe.
Lyceum Nugegoda won the title twice while Panadura has won once. Defending champions Lyceum Nugegoda gave an excellent performance by scoring 197 in 22.1 overs while Lyceum Panadura managed to score 196 in 42.3overs.
The Nikitha Grero Challenge Trophy cricket encounter will be sponsored by Mobitel, NextClick Studio, Lyceum Collection, jobads.lk and NCG Express has joined hands as the official travel partner.
