Man commits suicide

A 35-year-old father of one committed suicide by taking poison at his residence after consuming alcohol.

The postmortem was held at Dambulla Weera Denzil Kobbekaduwa Base Hospital. The deceased was identified as Udagedara Sarath Wijethunga, a resident of Sudharshanagama, Madatugama. Police said his wife had left him.

Thereafter, he was in ill health and addicted to liquor.

Kekirawa Police are investigating.
