Suspect in paddy robbery bailed out

Thambuththegama Magistrate Ramila Nadeeshani released on surety bail on Wednesday a suspect who stole eight gunny bags of paddy from a neighbour . The suspect, a resident of Kithsirigama, was released on Rs 100,000 surety bail.

Police seized only one gunny bag of paddy of the lot. The suspect came in a three wheeler had stolen eight bags of paddy laid to dry.

He had told police that he stole them since he has no money.
