Beira walking path opens

President Maithripala Sirisena and Ministers Patali Champika Ranawaka and Mahinda Samarasinghe share a light moment after opening the conserved East Bank of the Beira Lake and the Linear Park developed by the UDA under the Colombo City Water Face Development Programme yesterday morning. The development work was undertaken under the World Bank aided Urban Development project of the Colombo City. President Sirisena also directed relevant sections to ensure the early implementation of planned Beira Lake water purification project.
