TV personality, two others in custody over stabbing incident

A popular TV personality who had allegedly stabbed the owner of gymnasium over an argument, was remanded till June 13, by the Mahara Magistrate.

According to Police sources, the suspect had allegedly stabbed the owner of a fitness Gym in Enderamulla, Wattala. However, the TV Presenter had fled the scene after the incident and later arrested by the Kadawatha Police.

It was also reported that two other men who had been involved in the matter, were also arrested by the Kadawatha Police. The owner of the gymnasium who sustained serious injuries, had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The TV presenter and his two accomplices, were released on personnel bail of Rs 100,000 and cash bail of Rs Rs 1,000/- respectively.
